Winter and Deer

Winter seems to have finally arrived here. We've had colder days, but today is our first snow. There was a beautiful deer just outside my office window early this morning. The crows have gone into hiding.

We have a pot of fiery hot chili simmering away on the stove and logs are ready to be put on the fire. Life is good!

Happy Lazy New Year

Good afternoon, all!

It's a beautiful, sunny day here! Ray is out chopping wood from our forest to provide for the cold weather to come. It's glorious to snuggle down in front of the fire with a cup of hot cider, a good man, a good dog, and a good book.

I've been diagnosed with severe anemia and I can't take iron in any form. While I was at it, my thyroid decided to die. I have to have help to walk to the bathroom, so I've decided to learn to do something new. I have a new kumihimo disk and an assortment of threads from Primitive Originals and am having a great time playing with them. I wish I could say that I made the cords below, but the photos are from Primitive Originals. I'll get there!

Christmas Eve Gift!

CHRISTMAS EVE GIFT!

Since I was a child, it has been a tradition in our family that the first one to shout 'Christmas Eve Gift'
gets to open one of their presents on Christmas Eve.

I've decided to carry this tradition over to my blog.
Therefore,
the first person to email me with
"Christmas Eve Gift"
in the subject line
will receive a surprise gift from me.

My email address is
beads@bledsoe.net

There is no time limit on this little game.
You will be notified via this blog when the entry has been made.

Merry Christmas to All!

Merry Christmas

We are just back from a short cruise and I thought I'd let you see that we clean up pretty nicely. I wasn't feeling well on formal night, so you will have to miss seeing my handsome guy in his tuxedo until next time.

I thought I'd let you know that we went Christmas shopping Monday, and every single sales person wished us a Merry Christmas! Perhaps it takes the tragedy of a depression to bring folks around to the basics of goodness. There's hope yet!

Merry Christmas to you all!
