Les Petite Papillons

Les Petit Papillons
is my favorite bracelet of all time.
It is constructed of Swarovski crystal and sterling silver.
I have worn it daily since the day I made it -
I even wear it swimming and in the shower.
It never comes off.
I've been playing catch up lately and finally have a bracelet left over to put in my
Etsy shop.

Sand Flowers

The Sand Flower Ring is the result of my dreaming of the beach this weekend.
If it's going to be this hot, one should at least have an ocean nearby!
I wanted to do something creative, but simple.
It's just too hot to think!
I think Sand Flower will be absolutely indispensable for beach strolling!
The ring will be in my Etsy shop in just a few minutes.
It is available in any size you specify.

Tasha Tudor

I am always behind in hearing the news and this time I almost wish I hadn't heard.
Tasha Tudor died on June 18 2008 at the age of 92.
I have had several opportunities to meet her, but, alas, I kept putting it off.
Now it's too late.
I will always regret not meeting this fascinating woman.
My deepest sympathies go to her beloved family.

Indian Rocks

Our small farm consists of 10 acres in what used to be Cherokee land.
Over the many years of plowing that has been done on our land,
most of the arrowheads and other artifacts have been scavenged.
When we began building our home in 2000, we found these two
'Indian rocks'.
We assume that they were used as a mortar and pestle.
We found one other pestle, but it wasn't as well shaped as this one.
We have yet to find the mortar, but we keep searching.
These finds keep me dreaming of days gone by and
legends of the people who came before us.

Lowen Annarae was born yesterday!

Our first great niece was born yesterday. She is named Lowen after her grand father and great grandfather. The Annarae is taken from my middle name and my husband's first name. We are so proud! Pictures will appear soon!

A Sip of Tea

"Meanwhile, let us have a sip of tea.
The afternoon glow is brightening the bamboos,
the fountains are bubbling with delight,
the soughing of the pines is heard in our kettle.
Let us dream of evanescence,
and linger in the beautiful foolishness of things."

Pearl Teapot Bracelet

I've been having great fun making these pearl teapot bracelets.
The ideal compliment to your afternoon tea, these bracelets are made with Swarovski pearls and sterling findings.
The top and bottom of the teapot are sterling as is the toggle clasp which consists of a teapot and teaspoon.
What fun!
The overall length is 8 1/4 inches, but can be custom made in any size you wish.
The perfect gift for all of your tea friends!

Greek Festival

We had the privilege of spending Saturday at a Greek Festival at the only Greek church in our nearest Big City.
We listed to fantastic music and watched amateur and professional dancers exhibiting dances from different regions of Greece.
Unfortunately the beer and wines were domestic.
I was really looking forward to sampling the true beverages of the country.
The food was lip smacking good!
